The Cristo Rey Network is the only network of high schools in the country that integrates four years of rigorous college preparatory academics with four years of professional work experience through the Corporate Work Study Program. Comprised of 32 Catholic, college preparatory schools that today serve 11,521 students across 21 states and DC and collectively claim 13,366 graduates, the Cristo Rey Network delivers a powerful and innovative approach to inner-city education that equips students from economically-disadvantaged families with the knowledge, character, and skills to transform their lives.
Educate Magis is an online community that connects educators from Jesuit and Ignatian schools from around the world, enabling them to collaborate in solidarity as a global community. The Jesuit Schools Network partners with Educate Magis in communicating with Jesuit educators and network representatives from around the world.
Friends of Fe y Alegría in the United States is an initiative to raise awareness and engage support for Fe y Alegría’s work in Latin America and Africa. They believe in education as a powerful tool for social change and are committed to promoting quality, inclusive programs for people living in marginalized and impoverished communities.
Fe y Alegría was founded in 1955 by Father Vélaz in a barrio of Caracas, Venezuela and has since transformed into one of the largest popular education movements in the world. “Fe y Alegría begins where the asphalt ends” is the inspiration for this network of schools that reaches over 1.5 million people in 21 countries.
The Ignatian Solidarity Network provides resources to Jesuit ministries engaging in social justice education and advocacy; engages thousands of individuals affiliated with the Ignatian family to be lifelong contemplative advocates for the common good; partners with faith-based and civic organizations committed to justice, peace and care for our common home; and promotes solidarity with the poor among Jesuit ministries.
The Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy provides Jesuit and Catholic secondary schools online and blended student coursework, teacher professional development, and collaboration opportunities. The Jesuit Schools Network partners with the JVLA in the promotion and deployment of distance learning programs for students and educators in our network.
Magis Americas, Inc. is an independent nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. whose mission is to expand the availability of quality education and vocational training for people living in marginalized and impoverished communities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
