Show the way to God through the Spiritual Exercises and discernment…

In keeping with this Universal Apostolic Preference of the Society of Jesus, the JSN offers two means of supporting efforts by our network members to engage in the Spiritual Exercises:

Financial Support

The JSN can allocate up to $500 to an individual to cover the costs or help offset costs for a Spiritual Exercises program. Recognizing that there are many ways to engage the Exercises through on-site retreats of varying duration and even digital platforms, this funding is intended to cover specific program costs. Our priority is to distribute the funds to support as many individuals as possible in having an authentic encounter with the Spiritual Exercises.

Requests for funding should come from school principals or mission formation directors. For further information, please contact Tom Noonan, Director of Ignatian Mission Formation via the Contact Us form within our web site.

Partnership with Creighton University’s Online Retreat

Creighton University has a long-standing version of the Spiritual Exercises entitled An Online Retreat In Everyday Life.  This 34-week program allows participants to experience the Exercises amid the demands and responsibilities within their lives.  The program can be started at any point, but is timed with the Catholic Church calendar such that mid-September is the ideal starting point in the year.

The program can be experienced individually or in small cohorts.  For further information, please read the JSN’s Guide to this retreat and then contact Tom Noonan, Director of Ignatian Mission Formation via the Contact Us form within our web site.
