Thank you for considering me for positions in high school Counseling/Guidance. I am a May 2015 graduate of Fordham
College at Rose Hill and recently completed my master’s degree in School
Counseling at Fordham’s Graduate School of Education. I completed my program
fieldwork at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School Of Music & Art and Performing
Arts and White Plains High School in New York serving as a graduate student

I worked as the Admission Counselor and Event Coordinator for the Graduate
School of Religion and Religious Education (GRE) at Fordham University. In this
role I was the primary contact for GRE course information and facilitated the
management of prospective student applications. My position gave me a clear
sense of the varying pursuits of students and the support that professionals
provide for their success. I found this work personally rewarding and look
forward to a counseling role in the high school setting.

a student worker part of the Fordham Undergraduate Admission team, my duties
included supporting the Admission Office in all phases of the application
process as well as using informational resources (i.e., offices of Financial Aid,
Academic Records and Student Accounts) to assist prospective students and their
families. My position required a consistent level of commitment to caller
inquiries as well as providing more specific guidance to high school students
interested in Fordham.

            My role as graduate student intern at White Plains HS and
LaGuardia HS required me to meet with students individually to set academic and
social-emotional goals. These interactions illuminated Fordham’s Jesuit
principle of magis for me, which
invites educators to challenge students to strive for excellence in all aspects
of their lives – intellectually, emotionally, and morally. My own high school
years at School of the Holy Child emphasized the ideal of cultivating the whole
child in a supportive learning community and this perspective will always
inform my approach as a guidance counselor.
