I am writing to you to express my interest in a part time or flexible administrative job at a school. I’ve spent the last 9 years as a heavily involved parent volunteer at Saint Ignatius Loyola School in NYC. I wanted to provide you with some information on my background – I majored in Marketing in college and I spent 11 years in various Human Resource roles at Lehman Brother and JPMorgan. Since I left the work force to raise my family, I have been actively involved as a parent volunteer at Saint Ignatius Loyola School and as a volunteer in other charitable organizations such as The Central Park Conservancy Women’s Committee, Playground Partners and City Meals on Wheels.
Currently, I am the head of Saint Ignatius Loyola School’s Special Events Parent Committee. My roles include event planning, coordinating parent volunteers and securing donations, particularly for the Annual Spring Auction which is the school’s largest fundraiser of the year. I am also an Admissions Tour Guide, Class Parent, Mentor Family for new families entering the school and offer administrative support in various areas of the school when needed. I am proficient at Microsoft Office. I support our Development Director by creating invitations, formatting documents and spreadsheets more efficiently as well as assisting with some of the financial reporting.
