Brophy College Preparatory, Arizona’s only Catholic, Jesuit high school in Phoenix, is currently seeking a dynamic Fine Arts instructor for a full-time opening beginning in August 2019. Preference will be given to applicants who have the education, background and experience to instruct students in a variety of areas of the visual fine arts. Experience and success with co-curriculars (athletic teams, drama programs, speech and debate, etc.) are also highly desirable.
Brophy offers its student body of 1,300 boys a rigorous and relevant college preparatory curriculum. This includes a highly-developed and robust fine arts program with more than 30 different courses offered each year in visual and music arts and a 2.5 credit graduation requirement. Brophy also has a diversity of extracurricular activities and a strong retreat and service learning program. As a Jesuit school, Brophy takes great pride in striving to form well-rounded young men who are firmly grounded in a relationship with God that orients them to lead lives of service. Brophy faculty participate in a 1:1 technology program with their students and there is a wide variety of resources available to foster creative and critical thinking. In addition to the high school, Brophy includes Loyola Academy which is a tuition-free, comprehensive junior high school program for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys who demonstrate academic promise but have had limited educational opportunities.
